What day will my number move?

You’ve got a shiny new phone and popped in a brand new SIM. Now to transfer your old number - it doesn’t take long at all.

How long will it take to transfer my number?

Once you’ve submitted an online form asking us to transfer your number, we’ll do the rest.

Remember: we don’t transfer numbers at the weekend or on bank holidays.

It’s usually a really quick process:

submit the form before 5.30pm Monday to Friday, your number will be transferred the next working day
if you submit the form after 5.30pm Monday to Friday or any time at the weekend, your number will be transferred within two working days

Don’t forget!

There are a few things you might need to do after your number’s been transferred:

tell your insurer your number’s changed
update your number in My EE
call 222 to set up your voicemail
update the settings in iMessage to show your new number (if you use an iPhone). Find out more.
